EDI is at the heart ofÌýPublic Policy|Southampton and we champion the UK Government's that recognises EDI is vital to research and the research culture, particularly when it comes to the quality of research and its impact. We are proud of all the academics who have worked with us to turn their research into evidence-informed policy.
To establish our own role and responsibility in championing EDI in a genuine and impactful way, we ran a consultation exploring what our membership needed to support public policy engagement through an EDI lens. The results of the survey formed the basis of our first that ran until summer 2022.
We have developed the next iteration of this action plan to further embed EDI in everything we do, entitled 'PPS EDI Action Plan 2023-2025', and have designed it as a living document to showcase our latest and most recent efforts.
