About
Dr Shibin Thomas is a Research Fellow in Electrochemistry at the ºÚÁÏÉç.
Shibin received his MSc (Physical Chemistry) in 2010 and M.S (Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) in 2013 from Mahatma Gandhi University, India. He spent a year in Low-Dimensional Nanomaterials group at NTT Basic Research Laboratories, Japan (2012-2013) for the M.S thesis. He moved to Universite de Reims, France and obtained his PhD (2017) in Physics working on the electrodeposition of silicon/Rare earth metals from ionic liquids.
Shibin's research focuses on developing electroplating methods for depositing 2D transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) materials and their heterostructures.
