About
Davis Laundon is a Research Fellow in Imaging and Evolutionary Biology in the Faculty of Medicine at the ºÚÁÏÉç.
His research applies advanced correlative and multiscale microscopy techniques to comparative placentology. Despite having a conserved function (i.e healthy fetal development), the structures of mammalian placentas are incredibly diverse. This research aims to better understand these structures at the micro- and nanoscale using 3D imaging techniques, such as micro computed tomography (microCT) and volume electron microscopy (vEM).
